Overall, Agoda recorded a 59% surge in searches from Eastern European markets for stays in Vietnam, based on activity between August 15 and September 30, with check-in dates from October to November 2025.

Following Phu Quoc, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ranked second and third in popularity, with respective increases of 77% and 56% in search volume. The coastal destinations of Da Nang and Nha Trang rounded out the top five most sought-after Vietnamese cities.
Agoda attributed the rising interest to Vietnam’s relaxed visa policies, which have eased travel access for Europeans. The country’s new visa exemption program, effective from August 15, 2025, to August 14, 2028, applies to citizens of 12 European countries as part of a national tourism stimulus effort.
Searches from specific Eastern European countries also surged, with Slovenia up 77%, Poland 74%, Bulgaria 72%, Romania 69%, and Slovakia 61%.
With Vietnam’s growing appeal and favorable entry rules, Phu Quoc continues to cement its position as a premier Southeast Asian getaway for European tourists, offering accommodations ranging widely in price—from local guesthouses to upscale resorts, often starting from around 2 million VND (≈ 80 USD) per night.
