The PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Cup 2025 is set to bring together more than 120 professional athletes and 1,000 amateur players, with organizers aiming to set a world record for live attendance at a pickleball event.

The first Cup-level tournament in the PPA Tour Asia series will take place at Da Nang’s Tien Son ports arena and Tuyen Son sports village from September 30 to October 4.

Organizers announce information at the press conference.

The competition will feature professional men’s and women’s singles and doubles, along with 38 amateur events and a special exhibition match for Vietnamese artists.

Organizers confirmed that top international stars have already registered, including Ben Johns, Federico Staksrud, Anna Bright, Tyson McGuffin, Tyra Hurricane Black, Zoey Chao Yi Wang, Kaitlyn Christian and Alix Truong.

Points earned will count toward the Asia rankings, where athletes compete for the region’s number-one spot.

The Vietnam Cup follows the launch of PPA Tour Asia in July, which has already staged four Open-level events in Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), Japan, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Operated by UPA Asia, the series is the regional edition of the globally recognized PPA Tour.

VIP and VVIP tickets for the Vietnam Cup sold out on the first day of sales, giving holders exclusive access to lounges and athletes.

With Tien Son Arena’s capacity of 6,000, organizers expect the event to set a new benchmark for the largest live pickleball audience worldwide.

Fans can follow the tournament live on the FPT Play app, FPT Play Box, website (https://fptplay.vn), and social media platforms.
