Gia Lai honors Emperor Quang Trung with offering tray contest

(GLO) – The People's Committee of Tay Son Commune on September 19 organized a ceremonial offering tray competition at the Quang Trung Museum to honor Emperor Quang Trung, marking the 233rd anniversary of his death.

Ten teams representing hamlets and residential groups in the commune competed by decorating trays with local specialty products.

Each group also presented the cultural and historical significance of their offerings to the King.

The contest concluded with one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and four consolation prizes.

The first prize was awarded to the joint team from Thu Thien Thuong Hamlet and Thu Thien Ha Hamlet.

After the award ceremony, the offerings were formally presented at the temple complexes within the Quang Trung Museum.

The festival both paid tribute to the 18th-century emperor and showcased the cultural heritage, creativity, and craftsmanship of the local community.
