EXPO 2025, held from April 13 to October 13 on Osaka’s Yumeshima island, has drawn 158 countries and international organizations, each celebrating a designated National Day.
Vietnam’s commemoration coincided with the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, underscoring its symbolic importance.

Vietnam’s pavilion is presented under the theme “An inclusive society centered on people,” in line with the Expo’s broader theme, “Designing future society for our lives.”
In his opening speech, Deputy Prime Minister Lê Thành Long emphasized Vietnam’s commitment to a prosperous, safe, and inclusive society, expressing gratitude to Japan and Osaka authorities for their support.

The National Day program featured seven segments, including a welcoming ceremony, parades, the “Radiant Vietnam” show, outdoor stage performances, a Gala dinner and the evening finale.

Gia Lai province contributed to four programs with standout performances: “Buôn làng ấm no” (Prosperous villages), “Chiếc khăn Piêu” (The Piêu scarf), “Đêm hội trăng rằm” (full moon festival night), and the martial arts dance “Hào khí Tây Sơn” (The spirit of Tây Sơn).
A delegation from Gia Lai, led by Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch, arrived in Japan on September 6 to take part in the celebrations.
