The initiative highlights a milestone in the post-merger phase of Gia Lai’s media landscape, aiming to expand audience reach, diversify formats, and accelerate the province’s digital transformation in journalism.
The broadcaster will introduce two audio-visual programs: the upgraded daily podcast “Gia Lai Ngày Mới” (“New Day in Gia Lai”) and the weekly television program “Góc Nhìn Thế Giới” (“View on the World”). Both will be available on the outlet’s official website (baogialai.com.vn) and social media platforms.

The podcast “Gia Lai Ngày Mới” builds on the success of “Gia Lai Hôm Nay” (“Gia Lai Today”), which launched in March 2023 to mark the 76th anniversary of Gia Lai Newspaper. The program has become a daily news source for local audiences, airing at 6 a.m. with updates across multiple sectors.
In its new format, the podcast will deliver faster, more dynamic content, including news bulletins, market prices, weather forecasts, cultural features, lifestyle advice, and travel experiences. Listeners can access the program on mobile devices while commuting, exercising, or at home.

The upgrade has been welcomed by regular followers. Nguyễn Hoàng Nam, an officer at the Gia Lai Provincial Library, described the program as “an indispensable part of my morning routine,” adding that he looks forward to its renewed version after the merger.
The weekly TV program “View on the World” will air every Sunday at 8 p.m., complementing the broadcaster’s daily “World News” bulletin. More than a roundup of international events, the show will offer deeper, multidimensional analysis to provide viewers with broader perspectives on global affairs.

Gia Lai resident Lê Thị Hương Giang, who often relies on digital news due to a busy schedule, said the program’s timeslot is ideal. “I can relax with my family after dinner and catch up on international news and events I may have missed,” she said.

Alongside these programs, Gia Lai Broadcasting and Newspaper will launch “Gia Lai News,” an English-language section aimed at foreign residents, international partners, and overseas audiences.
The section is expected to serve as a platform for promoting Gia Lai’s image, strengths, and opportunities for investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.

Editor-in-Chief Hồ Xuân Ánh said the timing of the launch carried symbolic meaning: “National Day is a momentous occasion. We chose this time to send a message that Gia Lai journalism is always striving, constantly innovating, and mastering technology to better serve audiences in the digital era.”

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch praised the launch as a timely response to digital transformation. “I particularly appreciate the ‘Gia Lai Ngày Mới’ podcast and the English-language ‘Gia Lai News’ section. Expanding external relations and promoting the province’s image are essential in this new phase,” she said.
Officials said the merger of local media agencies and the launch of new products mark a new chapter for Gia Lai journalism, one defined by innovation, integration, and long-term development in line with global trends.
