The program, titled “Gia Lai - Radiant Colors,” was held on a stage on Truong Chinh Street, opposite the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Center in Quy Nhon Ward.
It formed part of the “Space of Tourism and Culture - Integration and Diffusion” exhibition under the framework of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, featuring artists, artisans and performers from several localities.
The opening performances included “Quang Trung Battle Drums,” traditional martial arts displays and the song-and-dance piece “Spring Echoes of Lightning Speed,” presented by artists and martial arts students from the Gia Lai Traditional Arts Theater and the Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts Center.
The performances evoked historical milestones, the martial spirit and the heroic legacy associated with Tay Son in Gia Lai.
The program then expanded beyond the Central Highlands, presenting cultural traditions from across the country.
The Dien Bien Provincial Art Troupe brought the cultural character of the Northwest, while artists and folk clubs from Hanoi highlighted the traditions of the Red River Delta.
Performers from Ninh Binh, Hue, Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City also contributed acts reflecting the distinctive cultural identities of their respective regions.
Among the featured performances were “Picking Bitter Eggplants,” incorporating Jrai folk influences; the gong ensemble “Village Festival Day”; “Love of Hue”; the “Champa Dance”; a Vietnamese ao dai fashion show; and the Xoe Thai dance.
A key moment came when artists and artisans from different regions joined in a Xoe solidarity dance accompanied by gongs, bringing diverse cultural traditions together in a shared artistic setting.
Beyond the performances, the program provided a platform for cultural exchange and connection among localities.
Through traditional art, it introduced regional cultural values to residents and visitors while promoting the people, cultural heritage and tourism potential of the participating regions.
