(GLO) – On the morning of September 13, around 8,000 athletes gathered at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon Ward, Gia Lai Province) to compete in the VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2026.
From around 3:30 a.m., athletes began gathering at the starting area to prepare for their respective race distances. The atmosphere at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square quickly became vibrant as more and more people arrived.

At exactly 4:00 a.m., the 21 km race officially kicked off. The stream of athletes stretched along An Duong Vuong, Xuan Dieu, Nguyen Tat Thanh, and other streets.
As the first runners picked up their pace, thousands more runners joined in, creating a vibrant flow of people in the heart of the coastal city center.

Following the 21 km event, the 10 km runners set off at 5:00 a.m., and the 5 km group at 5:30 a.m.
As dawn broke, the coastal roads became even busier. Runners moved in succession along the wide, open routes, while in the distance, the Quy Nhon sea gradually emerged under the first rays of sunlight.
With a course passing through many central and coastal streets, athletes had the chance to experience a different side of Quy Nhon in the early hours.
Some focused on each stride to achieve personal goals, while groups of friends and families ran together, taking in the scenery along the route. This diversity added a unique color to the race.

With around 8,000 participants, the VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2026 once again brought a vibrant running festival to the weekend, helping to promote a culture of physical fitness and adding a highlight to Quy Nhon's tourism and service activities.
