Pleiku Library has significantly expanded its efforts to cultivate a reading culture among students in western Gia Lai, reaching tens of thousands of young readers through school programmes, mobile libraries and digital platforms.
Some 640 students from Phan Boi Chau Secondary School in Gia Lai province took part in a book reading festival on April 3, held ahead of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day on April 21.
Gia Lai province has unveiled a new initiative to strengthen reading culture and lifelong learning, as its Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Education and Training agreed to implement a joint library cooperation program for 2026–2030.
Pleiku High School in Gia Lai province has been recognized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the “school with the most participants” in the 2025 reading culture ambassador contest, after attracting 2,133 students to take part, the highest number nationwide.
