Organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the week-long tournament will feature competitions in five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Vietnam Sports Administration, leaders of Gia Lai province, former provincial sports officials, the President of the Gia Lai Badminton Federation, sponsors, athletes, and a large audience.
In his remarks, Bùi Trung Hiếu, Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Head of the Organizing Committee, said hosting the event reflects the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Hồ,” while celebrating Party Congresses at all levels and looking toward the 2025–2030 Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress.
The tournament aims to showcase Vietnam’s top badminton talent, promote sportsmanship and unity, and foster cultural exchange.
Organizers highlighted their commitment to fair play, objective refereeing, and professional competition.

Following the ceremony, opening matches delivered fast-paced action and strong crowd support. The championship will run through September 27, when winners will be honored at the awards ceremony.
