The tournament, hosted at the Tiên Sơn Sports Complex and Tuyên Sơn Sports Village, brought together nearly 600 athletes from Vietnam and abroad, marking one of the largest pickleball events in Asia.

Competing in the professional (Pro) category, Nguyễn Đình Hải faced top-tier athletes from across the region, including legendary global pickleball player Ben Johns.
Hải participated in both men’s singles and men’s doubles. Partnering with Nguyễn Hữu Đạt in doubles, the pair were eliminated in the round of 32.

Meanwhile, Võ Thị Phụng competed in the amateur 35+ age group, taking part in both women’s singles and women’s doubles. Phụng advanced to the semifinals in singles and reached the quarterfinals in doubles.
The PPA tour Asia-MB Vietnam Cup 2025 not only showcased Vietnam’s growing interest in pickleball but also provided a platform for regional players to gain international experience. The event featured professional and amateur divisions with entry fees ranging up to VND 2.4 million (about USD 94).
