The selection, part of the “future warriors” 2026 recruitment festival, came after two days of assessments and three days of what the academy described as rigorous, objective and impartial scoring by its coaching team. The chosen players will join the academy as official trainees.
The intake comprises young footballers from 13 community training centres across Việt Nam, spanning Ho Chi Minh City, Đồng Nai, Quảng Ngãi, Đắk Lắk and Gia Lai. Three players from Gia Lai, Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc, Nguyễn Duy Khang and Nguyễn Hữu Khánh Minh, made the final list.
Y Si Môn Nie, a player of Ê Đê ethnicity from Đắk Lắk province, was recognised as the most impressive participant at the conclusion of the festival.
The 24 recruits will now complete administrative procedures before beginning the second semester of their academic and football training programme at the Hàm Rồng Training Center in Gia Lai. They are expected to undergo seven years of combined education and professional football development.
