The four-day tournament, running from April 24 to 27, features competitors from across the country playing under a stroke play format, with the System 36 daily handicap applied.
Participants are divided into three categories based on handicap levels, with Group A for handicaps from 0 to 16, Group B from 17 to 25, and Group C for players with handicaps of 26 and above.
Following the opening day, Dương Hắc Long led Group A, while Hoàng Khánh Sơn topped Group B. Đỗ Thị Phượng secured first place in Group C.
The event is being held in response to National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026, aiming to strengthen connections within Vietnam’s golfing community and support the sport’s development nationwide. Organisers also see the tournament as a platform to promote Gia Lai’s distinctive appeal and boost golf tourism in the province.
