The event, held at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), was jointly organized by the Rencontres du Vietnam Science Association, ICISE, and the Nano Life Science Institute of Kanazawa University, Japan.
Distinguished participants included Professor Curtis Callan of Princeton University, Professor Anthony Watts of Oxford University, Professor Takeharu Nagai of Osaka University, and Vietnamese physicist Nguyễn Quang Liêm, President of the Vietnam Physical Society.
Building on the success of NanoBioCoM2023 and NanoBioCoM2024, this year’s conference focused on fundamental research and advanced applications in nano-biotechnology, biophysics, and computational science, key disciplines for addressing modern life science challenges.
The program featured keynote lectures combining advanced postgraduate-level teaching with the latest research findings, alongside nearly 100 poster and short presentations.
Contributions came from organizations such as the Vietnam Biophysical Society, Vietnam Microscopy Society, Vietnam Physical Society, and Vietnam Theoretical Physics Society.
A highlight of the event was the official launch of the Vietnam Biophysical Society, headquartered at ICISE. Associate Professor Dr. Trần Quang Huy of Phenikaa University was named interim president.
Despite being newly established, the Society has already secured membership in the International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB), marking a significant step in building Vietnam’s interdisciplinary physics-biology research community.
Organizers said NanoBioCoM2025 not only strengthened Vietnam’s international scientific network but also reaffirmed the country’s position on the global map of nano life sciences.
