Central and Central Highlands physics conference 2025 opens in Gia Lai

(GLO) – The Central and Central Highlands Physics Conference 2025 officially opened on September 21 at Chi Lăng High School in Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province, drawing leading scientists, lecturers, researchers, graduate students and undergraduates from across Vietnam.

Jointly organized by the Hue City Physics Association, the University of Sciences under Hue University, the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training, and Chi Lăng High School, the event highlighted cutting-edge developments in physics, materials technology, environment, electronics and telecommunications, mechanical engineering, and teaching methodologies.

Researchers presented reports on diverse topics, including the application of Siemens S7-1200 PLCs to control a four-degree-of-freedom robotic arm; enhancing physics competencies through the STEAM experience “Automated Canopy Supporting IoT-Based Agricultural Drying”; synthesis and applications of Ag-TiO₂ thin films; and the photoelectrochemical water-splitting properties of ZnO/BiVO₄ materials.

A poster session featured innovative projects such as lip balm derived from roselle flowers, sensors made from fish egg shells, and gesture gloves designed to assist the hearing impaired. Other displays showcased applied research in materials, energy, and educational technology.

Presentations were delivered in two formats: oral sessions lasting 20–30 minutes with discussions, and poster exhibitions on A0-sized boards.

Organizers said the conference aimed to create a forum for sharing scientific findings, fostering collaboration, and advancing physics education, contributing to Vietnam’s development goals through 2030 with a vision to 2045.
