The evaluation, conducted during the 526th assessment round of the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), will run from June 23 to 25 and cover the university’s Accounting, Finance-Banking and Electrical Engineering programs.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Quang Ngoạn, Vice Rector of Quy Nhon University, said the assessment represents an important component of the institution’s strategy to improve training quality. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to developing a modern, learner-centred educational environment capable of meeting the demands of international integration.
During the assessment, the AUN-QA expert panel will examine self-assessment reports, verify supporting evidence and inspect key facilities, including classrooms, laboratories and libraries. The team will also interview university leaders, lecturers, students, alumni and representatives from the business community.
The review is based on eight AUN-QA 4.0 standards, covering learning outcomes, curriculum design, teaching and learning approaches, student assessment, academic staff, support services, facilities and graduate outcomes.
University officials said the assessment is expected to generate practical recommendations to help the evaluated programs enhance their quality and better respond to growing demand for highly skilled human resources amid regional integration and globalization.
As of June 2026, Quy Nhon University had 36 academic programs accredited under national and international quality assurance standards, reinforcing its standing as a leading higher education institution in Vietnam’s South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
