Organizers expect the three-day event to attract around 1,500 participants, including scientists, educators, students, astronomy club members, delegates and visitors. The program is designed to promote astronomy and aerospace knowledge among the public, particularly young people, while strengthening connections between Vietnamese and international researchers, encouraging STEM innovation and supporting knowledge-based tourism.
The event will feature presentations and activities led by leading domestic and international scientists, including Associate Professor Dr. Fumitaka Nakamura of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, Professor Dr. Saeko Hayashi of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe in Japan, Dr. Nguyễn Nhật Minh, a cosmology specialist at the University of Tokyo, and Dr. Otávio Alves of the University of Michigan.
Across three days, the program will focus on three core themes: academic science, technology and STEM, and knowledge tourism. Participants will have the opportunity to attend public lectures on astronomy and the universe, join the Vietnam Amateur Astronomy Network (VAAN) conference, take part in water rocket workshops, camp during the "Cosmic Night" program, observe the night sky through modern telescopes and trek Mount Xuân Vân using star navigation activities.
The event will also include dozens of interactive STEM experiences designed for students of all ages, combining scientific learning with hands-on exploration to encourage broader public engagement with astronomy and space science.
