
The release took place at Compartment 6 of Subzone 432, coordinated by the Rescue, Conservation and Species Development Center, Gia Lai provincial Police’s Investigation Agency and the Dak Doa Regional Forest Protection Department. Local residents and representatives from relevant agencies joined the release.
According to officials, the pangolins and cobra are classified as endangered species under Group IB, Vietnam’s highest protection category for rare wildlife.

The first pangolin was discovered on September 11 when Sinh, a resident of Do Guăh village in An Phú ward, found the animal wandering into his home. He captured it and voluntarily handed it over to authorities with a written request.
The second pangolin and the king cobra were transferred to the Rescue and Conservation Center by Gia Lai provincial police force.
After receiving medical care and rehabilitation, all three animals were assessed to be healthy and fit for return to the wild.
