Experts stressed that teachers play a decisive role in advancing second-language education. Discussions centred on English-as-a-second-language (ESL) training models designed for the Vietnamese context, including required pedagogical orientations and classroom methodologies for lecturers.

Specialists also underscored that ESL educators must go beyond basic language instruction to include language analysis, assessment, and the integration of literature and multimodal skills. Identifying suitable teaching approaches was highlighted as essential to achieving the goals of the ESL model.
