Pleiku opens 24/7 access to road passing through Dai Doan Ket Square

A section of Trần Hưng Đạo Street running in front of the Hồ Chí Minh Statue with the Ethnic Groups of the Central Highlands at Dai Doan Ket Square, Pleiku Ward, Gia Lai Province, has been opened to traffic around the clock.

The move follows a directive from the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee. In response, the Pleiku Ward People’s Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 17/UBND-KTHTĐT, authorising full-time traffic access on Trần Hưng Đạo Street through the square.

Local authorities have instructed the Department of Culture and Society, the Ward Center for Culture, Information and Sports, neighbourhood groups and Ơp village to step up public communication to ensure residents are informed and can travel conveniently.

Pleiku Ward Police have also been tasked with deploying officers to raise public awareness, guide residents and visitors, direct vehicles and enforce compliance with traffic signs, with the aim of ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow during the initial period of the 24/7 opening.

Previously, the section of Trần Hưng Đạo Street in front of the Hồ Chí Minh Statue was open to traffic only from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
