Quy Nhon University transfers pork roll production technology to Cô Út facility

Quy Nhon University’s Institute of Applied Science and Technology on January 16 signed a contract to transfer food-production technology to the Nem Chả Cô Út household business in Gia Lai Province, marking a five-month collaboration aimed at modernizing the facility’s giò chả and nem production.

Under the agreement, the Institute will transfer the full technology and production process, including technical guidance, trial operations and final evaluation.

Experts will train staff on-site, install machinery and production lines, and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure the workshop meets scientific and safety standards.

The contract also includes branding support. The Cô Út facility will be allowed to use Quy Nhon University’s name and logo on packaging, a measure intended to strengthen consumer confidence in product quality and food-safety compliance.

Associate Professor Đoàn Đức Tùng, Rector of Quy Nhon University, said the partnership enhances the value of local specialty products and underscores the institution’s role in supporting small enterprises through scientific and technological innovation.
