Over 1,100 athletes join sporting event to mark provincial Party Congress

(GLO) – More than 1,100 athletes took part in the opening of a two-day sporting event in Gia Lai Province on September 27, celebrating the 1st Congress of the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

The event, organized by the standing Board of the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee, features competitions in men’s and women’s volleyball and tug of war.

Nguyễn Tuấn Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, attended the opening ceremony.

Athletes included civil servants, employees and workers from agencies, units and enterprises across the province.

Organizers said the event aims to foster solidarity, strengthen cohesion, and encourage participants to fulfill their tasks.
