Organized by the People's Committee of Phu Tuc Commune, the event is intended to celebrate the commune's milestone while promoting the cultural heritage of local ethnic minority communities, showcasing distinctive agricultural products, and supporting Vietnam's National Tourism Year 2026.
The festival will highlight the traditions of ethnic minority groups living in the lower Ba River area through recreated communal living spaces, performances of gong music, traditional musical instruments and folk songs, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts including brocade weaving, basket making and wood carving.
The programme will also feature traditional costume presentations, street parades and a variety of folk games, including relay sack races, double-pestle rice pounding competitions and rope-free tug of war. Visitors will also be able to sample traditional cuisine prepared by local ethnic communities.
An agricultural market with approximately 20 booths will run alongside the festival, introducing OCOP products and other locally made goods. Participants will include villages and hamlets from Phu Tuc Commune, as well as businesses, cooperatives, start-up ventures and representatives from neighbouring communes.
The market will display a broad selection of clean agricultural products, OCOP-certified goods, medicinal herbs, handicrafts, traditional cultural products and regional food specialties.
Organizers hope the festival will become an annual event that helps preserve traditional cultural values, strengthen exchanges among local communities, create wider opportunities to promote signature products and support the development of local tourism.
