The activities were organized by Pleiku Ward in coordination with several partners, offering entertainment for local residents and visitors while contributing to the city’s growing night-time cultural scene.

As part of the programme, the Pleiku Ward Women’s Union hosted a folk dance exchange alongside a traditional áo dài fashion show themed “Graceful, Healthy, and Beautiful Pleiku Women.” The performances attracted many local women and were warmly received by audiences at the night market.

The lively folk dances, combined with the elegant display of Vietnam’s traditional áo dài, created a vibrant atmosphere that drew enthusiastic support from both residents and tourists.

Later the same evening, Phat Bao Anh Co., Ltd. in Gia Lai, working with Viettel Gia Lai, Green World Company from Ho Chi Minh City and Pleiku Ward authorities, organized a free outdoor film screening at the market.

The featured film was Mưa đỏ (“Red Rain”), a Vietnamese historical war drama directed by Dang Thai Huyen and written by author Chu Lai. Inspired by the 81-day battle to defend the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972, the film portrays the fighting spirit and determination for independence of the Vietnamese army and people during the war against the United States.

Organizers also created a “creative corner” for children, offering hands-on activities including sand painting, knitting and statue colouring, providing a playful and creative space for young participants.

Local authorities said the cultural exchanges and outdoor screening helped create a lively atmosphere while diversifying Pleiku’s evening activities. The events were held to mark the 116th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2026) and the 1,986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising.
