‘Run for love’ charity run seeks to fund ambulances for poor patients in Gia Lai

A charity run marking the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society will be held on November 23 in Pleiku City, aiming to raise funds to purchase ambulances for underprivileged patients.

The “Run for compassion” event will take place at Dai Doan Ket Square, offering local residents the opportunity to participate, cheer, and support the humanitarian effort.

The initiative is sponsored by the Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross and co-organized by the Loving Home Club and the SOS Gia Lai Traffic Support Club. It is also supported through collaboration with the Pleiku Ward Youth Union, the Gia Lai Marathon Club, and Chư Păh runners.

The run’s lead participant, Lê Đức Lâu, Head of the Loving Home Club, will start his 79-kilometer route at 3 a.m. and is expected to finish at around 5 p.m. the same day. The route is set around Đại Đoàn Kết Square, allowing convenient community engagement.

More than just a sporting event, the “Run for love and connection” seeks to spread the message of compassion under the theme “Red Cross for everyone - everywhere”, promoting a spirit of solidarity and support within the community.
