Held at Dong Xanh Cultural Park, the event, titled “Echoes of the Great Highland Aspiration”, was organized by the non-profit Hành Trình Việt Nam (Vietnam Journey) project with support from Vietourist Holdings Joint Stock Company and the For the Community Charity Fund, based in Hanoi.
Organizers confirmed that all proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Hanoi-based charity fund to build community bridges, improve infrastructure, provide scholarships for disadvantaged students, and aid families affected by natural disasters.
The concert featured three thematic sections, “Origins of the Highlands”, “Journey of Youth”, and “The Flame of Aspiration”, presenting a musical narrative rooted in the spirit of the Central Highlands. Traditional gong performances were interwoven with contemporary music, supported by a stage design inspired by gong motifs and the image of the sun.
Artists performing at the event included Siu Black, Bùi Công Nam, Nguyễn Hùng, MAYDAYs, the folk duo Hoàng Trang, Nguyễn Đông, Mơ Ly, The Breakline Band, flutist Minh Trang, and the performing arts team from the Faculty of Culture and Arts at Gia Lai College. Their performances drew enthusiastic responses from local residents and visitors.
Hành Trình Việt Nam, which stages cultural and artistic programs across 34 provinces and cities, aims to celebrate local identities and strengthen community bonds. Inspired by the Du ca (Traveling Music) movement, the project seeks to bring music and cultural values closer to audiences nationwide.
Organizers said the “Echoes of the great Highlands aspiration” concert not only delivered an engaging artistic experience but also reinforced community solidarity by contributing meaningful resources to social initiatives in the region.
