Nguyễn Phương Nghi won gold in the U20 standard event. Trần Hoàng Bảo Châu topped the U20 blitz category. Trương Ái Tuyết Nhi secured two golds in U20 rapid and U20 super blitz. Trương Gia Hân added two more titles in U15 blitz and U15 rapid.

The tournament gathered 118 athletes from nine provincial and city teams nationwide. Players competed in standard, rapid, blitz and super blitz formats across three divisions: elite, traditional elite and youth elite. Entry to the elite group required prior medal wins or top-20 rankings at the 2024–2025 National Championship, or holding an Elo rating of at least 2,200 for men and 2,100 for women.

The traditional elite field included titled and candidate masters, along with high-ranking national players. The youth elite division featured U11, U15 and U20 competitors with strong results in the 2024–2025 youth circuit.

Organized by the Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the Vietnam Xiangqi Federation, the championship ran from November 22–30 in Dai Phuc Commune, Thai Nguyen Province. The event served as a platform for skill assessment and talent identification, helping select players for upcoming regional and international competitions.
