The tournament, held in Cần Thơ from November 9 to 18, brought together nearly 400 athletes and coaches from 20 provincial and sectoral teams nationwide.
Gia Lai sent a 28-member delegation, including one team leader, one coach and 26 athletes. After several days of intense competition, the team won 2 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals.
The gold medals went to national team members Lê Thị Nhi in the women’s 52 kg (ages 18-40) category and Võ Huy Hoàng in the men’s 45 kg (ages 18-49) category.
Organised by the Department of Physical Training and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation and Cần Thơ’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event offered athletes a platform to sharpen skills, gain experience and prepare for the 2025 World Kickboxing Championships scheduled for late November in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
