Among those present were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Lâm Hải Giang, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.
Established under Decision No. 62/QĐ-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on March 17, 2006, the institution became the first private university in the former Bình Định province.
Over the past 20 years, the university has expanded its training scale, diversified disciplines and strengthened teaching quality, contributing to the supply of skilled human resources for the province and the South Central region.
The university now employs nearly 200 staff and lecturers and offers 13 undergraduate programmes and one postgraduate programme across health sciences, economics and engineering. It completed institutional quality accreditation in 2024, with seven programmes meeting accreditation standards.
At the ceremony, the university also received accreditation certificates for three additional programmes: Finance-Banking, Accounting and English Language.
Rector Tô Bá Lâm said the university’s development had broadened educational access for younger generations while supporting local and national socio-economic progress. He added that the institution aims to position itself as a forward-looking university aligned with social responsibility and practical needs.
“With a 20-year foundation, we are entering a new phase where adaptability, creativity and impact define value,” Lâm said.
During the event, Vice Chairman Lâm Hải Giang presented certificates of merit to Rector Tô Bá Lâm, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Tourism Economics for their contributions to training and human resource development.
