(GLO) – The Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, known for its hilly terrain, pine forests and cloud-covered peaks, has become a popular destination for campers. Ahead of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2), we highly recommend five sites standing out for their scenery and atmosphere.

Ia Dêr Pine Hill

Located just across Phan Đình Phùng Bridge from Pleiku city centre, Ia Dêr pine hill offers a view of the city from across the forest. The green meadow beneath the pine canopy provides space for families and groups to set up tents, organise barbecues and enjoy the city lights from a distance.

Diên Phú Pine Hill

About five kilometres from Pleiku, Diên Phú pine hill overlooks golden rice fields during the autumn harvest and offers a panoramic view of the city from above.

The site is noted for its tranquil setting, often described as a “forest within the city.”

Chư Nâm Peak

At 1,472 metres, Chư Nâm peak attracts trekkers and campers seeking sunrise views above the clouds.

From the Tân Sơn irrigation dam, visitors can follow a trail to the summit, camp overnight and watch Pleiku glitter at night.

Green Beli Farm

Situated 40 kilometres from Pleiku on National Highway 19D in Hamlet 3, Mang Yang commune, Green Beli Farm provides a quieter retreat.

The site combines camping with activities such as outdoor barbecues, fruit picking and the chance to plant a commemorative pine sapling.
