Quy Nhon sees tourist surge during Vietnam’s National Day holiday

(GLO) – Quy Nhon has reported a sharp rise in tourist arrivals during Vietnam’s National Day holiday, with hotels reaching near full capacity and restaurants packed with visitors, according to local businesses.

Hotel occupancy across Quy Nhon increased by about 15%, with some establishments fully booked.

The manager of Anya Quy Nhon Hotel chain said the hotel’s occupancy rate rose by 10%, while the Anya Premier Quy Nhon Hotel recorded a 15% rise compared with regular days.

Promotional packages were offered from VND 850,000 ($34) per night, including airport transfers, spa and dining services.

Mid-range facilities also reported strong demand. The Sao Viet Hotel in Quy Nhon Ward, managed by Huynh Thi Tham, has 25 rooms priced between VND 300,000 ($12) and VND 750,000 ($30) per night and was fully booked ahead of the holiday.

Most guests arrived from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces.

Restaurants serving local specialties saw heavy footfall. Bun No. 09 on Ha Huy Tap street attracted visitors with dishes such as fish noodle soup, crab noodle soup, and jellyfish noodle soup.

The owner Mang Thi Nam said groups of young travelers and families accounted for most of the crowd. Tourists praised the quick service despite long queues.

Other popular stops included Nem Cho Huyen Olala on Xuan Dieu street, where its owner Le Hoai Vu offered fermented pork rolls, grilled beef in betel leaves, shrimp spring rolls and banh hoi (fine rice vermicelli).

The restaurant stocked up in advance to meet holiday demand.

Cultural events added to the local appeal. The Great Highland and Blue Sea Essence Festival 2025, held from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, drew large crowds to an exhibition featuring OCOP and craft village products.

Quy Nhon’s streets were decorated with red flags, banners and flowers, becoming popular photo spots for both residents and tourists.

Key attractions included the Twin Towers, the Center for Science Discovery and Innovation and Ghenh Rang tourist site, with excursions planned to Ky Co, Eo Gio and Phuong Mai Peninsula.
