The delegation included representatives from Hanatour Korea, Hanatour Vietnam and tourism partners serving the South Korean market in Central Vietnam. The survey is intended to evaluate tourism potential and identify destinations suitable for new travel products tailored to Korean visitors.
During the visit to western Gia Lai, participants explored Plei Ớp Cultural Tourism Village in Pleiku Ward, where they experienced the traditional gong cultural space and sampled Jrai cuisine. The delegation also surveyed Chư Đang Ya volcano in Bien Ho Commune and the FLC Đak Đoa golf course project in Đak Đoa Commune.
According to the organizers, Pleiku has emerged as a destination of interest for Hanatour, with plans to combine it with the coastal city of Quy Nhon to create tourism programs that blend beach experiences with the cultural heritage and natural landscapes of Vietnam's Central Highlands.
Before arriving in Gia Lai's western region, the delegation visited several tourism destinations along the coast, including Ky Co Tourist Area, Hòn Khô Island–Nhơn Hải tourist site in Quy Nhon Đông Ward, Crown Retreat Resort Quy Nhon in Cát Tiến Commune, and Quang Trung Museum in Tây Sơn Commune.
The survey forms part of a broader effort to establish a tourism corridor linking Quy Nhon and Pleiku, diversify tourism offerings, strengthen Gia Lai's appeal to the South Korean market and create new opportunities to attract international visitors.
