Beyond the ancient tea plantations of the Biển Hồ region, Ea Lũh village emerges on the far side of the lake, nestled against distant blue mountains. Crossing the dam into the village, visitors can spot dark-hued rock formations scattered along the lakeshore.
Some rocks are perfectly round, resembling giant overturned bowls, while others look like raindrops that have fallen from the sky and suddenly turned to stone.
There are also boulders embraced by the massive roots of ancient trees, where tree and stone have supported each other through the years, creating fascinating natural sculptures.
Ea Lũh is the only Xê Đăng village on the Gia Lai plateau. Established over half a century ago, the first generations of residents were mostly workers from the Biển Hồ tea plantation.
Amidst the once-renowned tea region, these ancient rocks are scattered from the lakeshore at the village entrance deep into its heart, becoming an integral part of the living space for generations of Xê Đăng people.
At the heart of this Xê Đăng village lies a nearly 13-hectare golden camellia tea farm. It is the only place in the province cultivating the “longevity tea” variety, where golden tea buds bloom year-round regardless of the season.
Located about 3 kilometers from the centuries-old pine trees and Bửu Minh Pagoda, Ea Lũh is increasingly attracting tourists and photography lovers eager to explore its charms.
By the lakeside, beneath the canopy of ancient trees and among the striking rock formations, the natural beauty blends with the simple rhythms of Xê Đăng life, creating a unique character for this village in the heart of the Biển Hồ tea region.
