The five-day holiday is expected to bring a significant increase in visitors to Quy Nhon, prompting hotels and guesthouses to prepare for higher demand and a potential surge in last-minute bookings from independent travelers.
In the final days of August, accommodation providers are reviewing guest rooms, landscaping, restaurant services and menus while updating service programs and introducing special offers for the holiday period.
At Anya Premier Beachfront Hotel Quy Nhon, staff are checking and rearranging rooms, adding necessary amenities and reviewing service systems.
The hotel is also preparing its restaurant, menus and culinary offerings for the expected increase in guests.
Hotel departments are reviewing operating procedures and assigning staff to ensure services run smoothly during the peak period.
Ngo Thanh Hoang, deputy general director of Anya Hotel Group Quy Nhon, said preparations for guest rooms, the convention center and other services were essentially complete.
The hotel is reviewing and updating its service procedures while refreshing its menu, culinary offerings and other services to provide guests with greater variety during the holiday, Hoang said.
Anya will maintain its existing room rates and will not impose holiday surcharges. The hotel had previously promoted accommodation and service vouchers at discounted prices at the Vietnam Travel Fair 2026, helping it reach customers ahead of the holiday and expand promotion of its tourism products.
Hoang said 2026 was particularly significant because Gia Lai is hosting the National Tourism Year. Recent promotional activities had created additional opportunities for tourism businesses, while the hotel hoped to see more international visitors to Gia Lai and a more diversified visitor base.
At Hai Au Hotel, management is also targeting independent travelers, who are expected to make up a significant share of holiday visitors.
Le Hong Quang, director of Hai Au Hotel, said the hotel increased room sales and marketing efforts across different customer groups as soon as the holiday schedule was announced.
Advance bookings have reached about 60-70%, according to Quang, who expects the figure to rise closer to the holiday as independent travelers often make decisions and reservations at the last minute.
Quang said the hotel saw a strong influx of independent travelers from western areas during the April 30-May 1 holiday and hopes to see a similar trend during the September 2 break. The hotel is targeting an occupancy rate of 90-100% during the holiday.
Hotels are also adapting their offerings to travelers seeking a broader range of experiences, including islands, resorts, eco-tourism, cultural activities, sports, entertainment and community-based tourism.
With its combination of highland landscapes and coastline, Gia Lai is being positioned to attract families, small groups, long-stay visitors and travelers interested in local experiences and products.
Hai Au Hotel has upgraded guest rooms and improved its landscaping ahead of the holiday. Guests will also receive small gifts, including cakes, fruit and local specialties, Quang said.
Depending on the type of guest group, the hotel plans to provide provincial specialties, including OCOP products, as welcome gifts designed to add a local touch to the holiday stay.
On October 22, 2025, travel site Lonely Planet announced its Best in Travel 2026 list, with Quy Nhon named among the world’s top 25 destinations to visit in 2026. Previously, travel platform Tripadvisor ranked this coastal city fourth among the world’s top 25 trending destinations.
Today, marine tourism has become a strong brand and competitive advantage for Quy Nhon – Gia Lai.
With its scenic landscapes and an increasingly diverse range of marine tourism products, Quy Nhon offers visitors a wide array of experiences for the National Day holiday, from beach resorts, coral diving, and eco-exploration to community-based tourism, culinary delights, shopping for local seafood specialties, and water sports such as kayaking and parasailing at Quy Nhon, Ky Co, Nhon Ly, and Nhon Hai.
