A delegation of Australian tourism partners, travel agents, wholesalers, buyers and media representatives is surveying tourism destinations in Quy Nhon and Gia Lai as part of a famtrip program aimed at promoting Vietnam's central region to the Australian market.

The program, running from May 25 to 28, is being organized by the Gia Lai Tourism Association in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and TMS Group Joint Stock Company.

Organizers said the initiative is designed to position Quy Nhon and Gia Lai as culturally rich destinations with strong potential for tourism products linked to heritage, culture and highland experiences tailored to Australian travelers.

According to the organizers, Quy Nhon offers more than coastal tourism, serving as a gateway to experiences that combine beaches, Champa heritage, traditional Binh Dinh martial arts and the highland culture of Gia Lai.

The delegation also explored intangible cultural traditions including hát bội, bài chòi, traditional Binh Dinh martial arts and Champa culture.

Alongside experiences focused on marine tourism and Champa heritage, the delegation is also surveying tourism products linked to traditional martial arts, craft villages and luxury resort services at Grand Hyams Hotel Quy Nhon Beach in Quy Nhon Ward.

A key event of the program will be a tourism networking and promotion conference for the Australian market on May 28 at Grand Hyams Hotel Quy Nhon Beach. The event is expected to bring together local authorities, tourism associations, travel businesses, hotels and service providers.

Organizers said the activities are intended to strengthen B2B connections, expand cooperation opportunities and attract more international visitors, particularly from Australia, to Quy Nhon and Gia Lai in the near future.
