An unbeaten home record and an undefeated season will collide on April 25 as Quy Nhon United host league leaders Truong Tuoi Dong Nai in a pivotal Round 16 fixture of V.League 2.

The match, kicking off at 6:00 p.m. at Quy Nhon Stadium, pits one of the league’s strongest home sides against a team yet to suffer defeat this season, raising the stakes beyond a routine contest for points.

Quy Nhon United have turned their home ground into a fortress, recording seven wins and one draw so far. Their attacking form has been particularly notable, scoring 20 goals in eight matches—an average of more than two per game—while consistently imposing a high-energy style.

In contrast, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai arrive with the league’s most resilient record. Under head coach Nguyen Viet Thang, the team leads the table with 35 points after 15 rounds and is widely expected to secure promotion. Their squad features several high-profile players, including Minh Vuong, Xuan Truong, and Cong Phuong.

The encounter also carries significance in the race for the V.League 2 Golden Boot. Quy Nhon United rely on Thaileon De Santan, who leads the scoring chart with eight goals, alongside Lê Thanh Phong with six. The visitors counter with Alex Sandro on seven goals and Minh Vuong on five.

Beyond individual battles, the fixture reunites players from the Hoàng Anh Gia Lai academy’s first generation, as well as younger prospects, adding further intrigue. It also features former Quy Nhon–Bình Định players now representing Dong Nai against their former teammates.

With both teams bringing unbeaten runs into the match, at least one streak is set to end, highlighting the significance of a contest that could shape the outcome of the promotion race.
