Quy Nhơn United has endured a difficult start. The team was knocked out of the National Cup after losing to Long An FC and drew at home against Văn Hiến University in the opening round of the National First Division. In their next match, they will travel to Cẩm Phả Stadium to face Quảng Ninh.

“It is a great honor for me to return to my hometown and contribute to the club,” Vinh said. “This journey will be full of challenges, but together with the team, I will do my utmost to build a professional, united club with a distinctive playing style that leaves a lasting impression on our supporters.”

A native of the former Bình Định province, Vinh is a well-known figure in Vietnamese football. He played for Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) before transitioning into coaching and youth development. His career includes assistant roles with coach Hoàng Anh Tuấn at the FIFA U20 World Cup 2017, with coach Park Hang-seo for Vietnam’s national team, and most recently with Kim Sang Sik.

Vinh also brings leadership experience, having served as Chairman and CEO of Ba Ria Vung Tau FC and as CEO of Juventus Vietnam Academy, an institution dedicated to nurturing young football talent in the country.
