The championship opened with its first matches at the southern beach area of East Sea Park in Da Nang City, where teams from across the country are competing for national youth honors.
The tournament runs from July 2 to July 10 and features nearly 140 athletes representing 14 teams, including eight men's teams and six women's teams, from localities and units such as Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Lao Cai and Da Nang.
Teams are competing in a round-robin format, with the best-performing sides advancing to the semifinals and finals.
The championship is intended to strengthen the development and quality of beach handball training nationwide. Organizers will use the competition to evaluate athletes and identify outstanding players for selection to youth and national teams in preparation for upcoming international competitions.
