The decision follows an official request from the Gia Lai Provincial Taekwondo Federation seeking assistance in organizing the event. After reviewing the competition regulations and organizational plan, the national federation approved the proposal, citing the need to ensure professionalism, transparency and fairness throughout the tournament.
Under the support package, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation will deploy an online real-time competition management system (OVR), an electronic scoring system (ESS) and a video review system (VAR) for the event.
The federation will also assign seven national-level technical officials and referees to oversee the tournament’s technical operations.
The taekwondo competition is scheduled to take place from July 4 to July 8 at Pleiku Sports Arena in Pleiku Ward as part of the provincial Sports Festival.
The Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is currently compiling a list of participating communes, wards and other units registered for the Games, which will be the first provincial sports festival held since the administrative merger.
