Gia Lai collects 169 units of blood at 2025 voluntary donation festival

The Gia Lai provincial voluntary blood donation steering board, in cooperation with the People’s Committees of An Khe and An Binh wards and Cuu An commune, collected 169 safe units of blood during the 2025 voluntary blood donation festival on Thursday.

Nearly 200 officials, workers, and residents from An Khe, An Binh, and Cuu An took part in the event under the message “Every drop of blood given – A life saved.” After medical screening, 169 qualified donations were accepted.

All collected blood has been transferred to the blood reserve bank at Gia Lai provincial General Hospital in Pleiku to support emergency care and patient treatment.

Officials said the voluntary blood donation movement in Gia Lai has recently received strong public participation from local agencies, organizations, and communities, helping ease the ongoing shortage of blood for medical use.
