The ceremony took place on the afternoon of December 19 at Phu Cat Airport and was organised by the Provincial Center for Sports Training and Competition, with the participation of coaches and fellow athletes, as Bích Thảo returned to her hometown following her success at the regional sporting event.

The victory secured a valuable gold medal for Vietnam’s women’s handball team at the 33rd SEA Games, capping a successful campaign marked by strong and consistent performances.
Nguyễn Thị Bích Thảo (born 2005, from Bong Son Ward) was called up to the National Women's Handball Team in October 2024. Since joining the team, she and her teammates have achieved numerous notable successes, including: the gold medal in women's handball at the 33rd SEA Games, gold at the 2025 Southeast Asian Handball Championship, and multiple medals with the provincial team at youth tournaments, national championships, and the National Sports Games, among others.
