U10 Sao Viet defeated Dung Si Thanh Khe Primary School of Da Nang 5-1 in the regional final, with the young players from Gia Lai producing a confident and cohesive performance throughout the match.
The Da Nang qualifier featured eight teams divided into two groups, with each group playing a round-robin format.
The top two teams from each group advanced to the semifinals before Sao Viet and Dung Si Thanh Khe met in the final.
Sao Viet’s players displayed strong teamwork and unity to secure the 5-1 victory and claim the regional championship. The team also received a scholarship worth 30 million VND (about US$1,150).
U10 Sao Viet were the only U10 team from Gia Lai province to compete in this year’s Lotteria Challenge Cup.
Their qualification for the national final will give the young players an opportunity to face teams from other regions across Vietnam.
The 2026 tournament marks the 13th edition of the Lotteria Challenge Cup, with regional rounds being held in Hanoi, Ha Long, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
The national final is scheduled for October 17 in Ho Chi Minh City. The national champion will receive a prize valued at up to 50 million VND (about US$1,920).
