This academic year is the first under Vietnam’s two-tier local government model, with Gia Lai’s educational system comprising 1,265 schools from pre-school to high school, serving 760,306 students in 23,017 classes. A total of 37,347 administrators, teachers and staff are involved in the system.
A highlight of the new school year is the national ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the National Ministry of Education.

The event will take place at the National Convention Center in Hanoi from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., broadcast live on VTV1, and connected online to all public and private schools nationwide.
Leaders of the Party and State are scheduled to address students and sound the ceremonial drum to inaugurate the new academic year.
In Gia Lai, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted in Dien Hong Ward will serve as the central broadcast hub, coordinating technical requirements to ensure seamless live connections.
Local media outlets, including press, radio, and television, will provide on-site coverage at schools across the province.
