Nguyen Thi Oanh wins Tay Ho half-marathon 2026 as Hong Le takes second

Nguyen Thi Oanh secured victory in the women’s half marathon at the Tay Ho Half Marathon 2026, while Pham Thi Hong Le finished second in a competitive race that drew more than 10,000 runners to the capital.

Oanh, representing Bac Ninh, crossed the finish line in 1 hour, 18 minutes and 26 seconds to claim first place. Hong Le, from Gia Lai, followed with a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes and 13 seconds.

In the men’s race, Nguyen Trung Cuong of the Army team maintained his strong form to take the title, finishing in 1 hour, 12 minutes and 36 seconds.

The event, held in Tay Ho Ward and powered by BIM Group, attracted over 1,500 international participants from 45 countries, contributing to a highly competitive and energetic atmosphere.

Runners competed across three distances, 5 km, 15 km and the half marathon (21.0975 km).

The course traced the scenic perimeter of West Lake, offering participants views of some of Hanoi’s most notable landmarks, including Tran Quoc Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple and Tay Ho Palace.
