Gia Lai Province has mobilized emergency relief after severe flooding inundated multiple communes and wards in the eastern region, damaging homes, isolating communities, and disrupting infrastructure including transport, schools, and medical facilities.

The Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross Society launched an appeal on November 19, calling on organizations, businesses, and benefactors nationwide to support affected residents.

Since the appeal, more than 200 million VND (about USD 8,000) and around 5 tons of essential goods, including rice, instant noodles, food, and drinking water, have been received for immediate distribution.

Red Cross volunteer clubs have set up community kitchens providing 4,000-6,000 free meals per day. The organization has also requested support from neighboring provinces, including 20 motorboats and volunteer teams, to rescue stranded households. The SOS 115 Gia Lai team has joined authorities in rescue operations and medical transport.

Charitable groups across Gia Lai are also coordinating efforts. A driver group in Hội Phú Ward has been organizing relief trips since July and is now collecting goods and supplies to dispatch another shipment of approximately 15 tons. Residents are donating items directly at 126 Lý Nam Đế or sending bank transfers for purchasing essential goods.
