The delegations from Malaysia, Eumseong FC, Chonburi, Shenzhen and Jubilo Iwata landed at Pleiku Airport to prepare for the international youth tournament.
Officials welcoming the teams included Bùi Trung Hiếu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyễn Tấn Anh, Executive Director of Hoang Anh Gia Lai, and players from the U14 LPBank HAGL squad.
The tournament is being organised as part of activities marking National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026. During the reception at the airport, organisers encouraged players and coaching staff to explore Gia Lai, highlighting the province’s tourism potential alongside the competition.
Accommodation for the visiting teams has been arranged at Muong Thanh Hotel and Pleiku Hotel. The Malaysian delegation includes 27 members, while Eumseong FC has 25 members, Shenzhen 38, Chonburi 25 and Jubilo Iwata 22.
Two additional international teams are expected to join the tournament on May 10. The Kham Say team from Laos will travel to Gia Lai by road through the Bo Y International Border Gate, while Gangwon FC is scheduled to arrive at Pleiku Airport later the same day.
