The competition, held at the Central Square of the commune’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports, brought together participants from five inter-hamlet clusters. Athletes competed across four disciplines: forms demonstration, weaponry, paired drills and sparring.
Following the opening ceremony, contests began immediately with forms performances for age groups 7-11, 12-15 and over 16, alongside sparring matches.
The event drew strong public interest, with local residents turning out in large numbers to watch, creating a lively and energetic festival atmosphere.
Organisers said the tournament aims to promote the practice of traditional martial arts, while providing a platform for athletes to exchange experience, compete and refine their skills. It also serves as a talent selection opportunity for the commune’s team ahead of the 2026 Gia Lai Provincial Sports Festival.
