The fundraising drive was launched during a cultural exchange event on the evening of October 16, celebrating the successful conclusion of the commune’s first Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and welcoming upcoming congresses of local political and social organizations for the 2025–2030 term.

The event featured 19 musical and dance performances by local hamlets, villages, schools, and community groups, showcasing traditional ethnic culture and honoring the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and love for the homeland. The vibrant performances fostered a spirit of unity, pride, and enthusiasm among attendees.

According to the organizing committee, over VND 94 million (USD 3,690) was donated to assist people in storm-hit northern and north-central regions, while more than VND 30 million (USD 1,180) went toward the commune’s “For the Poor” Fund.

Donations for storm-affected residents will continue to be accepted until November 6, while contributions to the “For the poor” Fund will remain open until November 18.
