The award was announced on the afternoon of January 5 in Hanoi at the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Forum 2026 and the Vietnam AI Contest Awards 2025 ceremony, jointly organised by VLAB Innovation and the VietNamNet online newspaper.
After a rigorous evaluation by an international panel of judges, the Le Quy Don team advanced to the live presentation round, outperforming numerous competitors from across the country.
At the final event, the students presented their project to a judging panel that included leading professors and technology experts from institutions such as Harvard, MIT, the Boston Global Forum and the Michael Dukakis Institute.
Their project received strong praise for its practical relevance, high applicability and clear demonstration of social responsibility, according to the organisers.
The first prize was awarded to Hanoi–Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Second prize went to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai), represented by 12th-grade information technology students Phung Nguyen Nhu Bach, Nguyen Pham Hoang Lam, Do Viet Khanh, Nguyen Le Gia Huy and Truong Le Gia Bao.
The competition was held alongside the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Forum 2026, themed “AI Symphony for Humanity”, which highlighted the role of artificial intelligence as a foundation for serving people and promoting sustainable development by balancing technological innovation, human values and social governance.
