According to Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, the woman, identified as Dang Thi Hong Anh, 27, from Bau Can Commune, was admitted on the evening of October 26 after being urgently escorted by the road traffic police team No. 3.
At around 6:00 p.m., the patrol team, led by Captain Nguyen Van Quyet and Major Trinh Xuan Doan, was on duty along National Highway 19B when they received a distress signal from a car requesting assistance. Inside was Anh, who was 33 weeks pregnant and suffering from severe abdominal pain.
Recognizing the emergency, the officers immediately used a specialized police vehicle to clear traffic and lead the family car over a 20-kilometer route to the hospital.
Upon arrival, doctors diagnosed Anh with enteritis and digestive disorders. Medical examinations confirmed both mother and baby were in stable condition. She was treated, given medication, and discharged later that evening to continue recovery at home.
Anh’s family later shared the story on social media to thank the officers, whose swift response has drawn widespread public praise for their professionalism and compassion.
