(GLO) - The 1st Congress of the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, held from October 2-4 in Quy Nhon Ward, is taking place under strict security measures as provincial police deploy maximum personnel and resources to ensure absolute safety.

The event, described as a major political milestone, has prompted the provincial police to implement comprehensive strategies under the motto “clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities”.

All specialized units have been instructed to prepare detailed scenarios, conduct early preventive measures, and neutralize potential risks before they arise.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Toan Thang, Head of the Internal Political Security Division, said his unit has “anticipated various scenarios, deployed appropriate personnel, conducted drills, and coordinated with other forces” to ensure the safety of central delegates, guests, and ceremonial activities at the Nguyen Sinh Sac-Nguyen Tat Thanh monument and the provincial Convention Center.

Other divisions, including Criminal Police, Drug Crime Investigation, and Administrative Management Police, have intensified patrols, residence checks, and oversight of conditional business sectors to deter theft, robbery, and drug-related crimes.

“We are determined not to allow street crime to take advantage of crowded events,” stressed Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Head of the Criminal Police Division.

In Quy Nhon Ward, which is hosting large numbers of delegates, additional patrols, inspections, and joint operations with community groups have been launched to strengthen grassroots stability.

In Ia Pa commune, home to many ethnic minority and religious communities, local police, together with military and militia forces, have prepared flexible contingency plans to prevent unrest.

Colonel Ngo Cu Vinh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, underscored that the operation is “a particularly important political task requiring the highest level of focus, comprehensive preparation, and seamless coordination.”

Police units are maintaining 100% duty presence, controlling traffic, monitoring accommodation sites, countering disinformation, and preventing disputes from escalating into “hot spots”.

With mobile and traffic police on 24/7 patrols and grassroots forces monitoring ideological developments, authorities say every measure has been taken to ensure the Congress proceeds smoothly, safely, and with full public confidence.
